From Gambo Ahmed, Lafia

Nasarawa state deputy governor, Mr. Silas Ali Agara, has implored women in the state to breast up and participate in active politics in 2019 general elections, in order to elect credible leaders that would take the state forward in the spheres of development.
Agara stated this while speaking during the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC) women fellowship songs held at the ERCC Zion gate church Akwanga, Akwanga local government council of Nasarawa State on Saturday.
According to Agara “I urged all of you women in the state to breast up by registering and have your voters card ready, which is the only panacea to enable you vote for credible representatives to lead the state to an enviable level.”
Silas continued: “You should be mindful of those politicians that their major motive is to destroy the state by instigating instability instead of bringing development to your door steps.”
The Deputy governor further urged the women to support continuity as, according to him, “I will continue from my boss (Al-makura) by providing the dividends of democracy to the nooks and crannies of the state if you give me your ample support.”
“Be watchful of deceivers who don’t have the interest of the state at heart absolutely. Support continuity. I promised to continue with the good gesture from my superior (Almakura)”, he maintained.
Mr. Silas, however, appealed to the entire citizens of the state to support his governorship ambition in 2019; adding that having served the state in different capacities that experience would add value to him on how to govern the state in order to achieve the desired development in the state.
