The Jigawa state gubernatorial aspirant of the Social Democratic party (SDP) and four times member representing Kazaure/Gwiwa/Roni/‘Yankwashi Alhaji Bashir Adamu Jumbo said, he is not desperate to be Jigawa governor in the forthcoming 2019 general election.
Jumbo who insisted that, his defection to SDP from APC is due to the party’s refusal to give him a membership card for his almost three years staying in the party (APC).
The gubernatorial aspirant disclosed this while briefing news men yesterday in Dutse on his plan and vision to make Jigawa better giant strength if elect as governor in 2019 under the platform of Social Democratic Party (SDP).
According to him, he decided to seek for governor’s office with aims to make Jigawa better and for the interest of Jigawa people not for his personal interest as he has done during his sixteen years tenure as federal lawmaker.
The gubernatorial aspirant maintained that, he designed a special agenda that would move Jigawa state forward, but priority must be given to education, Agriculture, Health, human development and securty.
While speaking on his defection from one party to another, “ I defected from PDP In 2015 to APC with clean mine likewise in now from APC to SDP through the consultation of my people but my major concern is how can I contribute my quota toward making Jigawa best among others” he said.
“I joined APC not because of any position, just with aim to contribute for the success of the government at all level but, unfortunate the serving governor denied all our advises and contributions at last the party leadership refuse to give us the party membership card,” Jumbo said.
