As political gladiators are warming up for 2019 general elections, the
National Coordinator, Atiku House to House (AH2H) support group, Retired Col. Chinyere Obi, has drummed support for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
She said that the former Vice President has all it takes to lead the country.
Speaking yesterday in a chat with Peoples Daily in Abuja, the
coordinator said Atiku desires to transform the country and give it a new look.
“As a former Vice President, he has seen it all and knows the problem of Nigerians. He has 5000 youths that work under him and he has been traveling all over the country to create a sane environment for all.
Atiku is a true Nigerian, who married from the three major tribes of this country. He loves all Nigerians regardless of their religion or tribe.”
She added that Atiku has made his money and cannot steal from the masses. “He is passionate about the plight of the people and will do anything to create jobs for the masses. The current dilapidated equipment at our hospitals will be equipped with modern facilities. He will deliver Nigeria from Egypt. God has raised him to solve our problems. He cares about the poor and he will be the one to help this country. I knew him since 1995, and I am certain that he is the best candidate for this country”.
On Atiku’s frosty relationship with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Obi said “Obasanjo is not God. Atiku will win with or without him. He didn’t offend him. He only asked him not to go for a third term.”
She said over 10 million people under her campaign team are supporting Atiku, adding that “I am in Abuja now to ensure success. If you don’t want us to cry again vote Atiku, give him six months to restructure Nigeria.
We are going to the grassroots. Women have 75 percent votes,I want them to be wise and not to give in to bags of rice and stomach infrastructure. This is a movement that will help us all.”
While calling for prisons reform, the coordinator said most people have forgotten the prison. “But we also know that there are innocent people there. I am going there to give them some items and to also give them hope that their messiah is coming. Atiku will reform the prisons and put smile on the faces of many awaiting trials inmates”.
