From Mika’il Tsoho Dutse
The Jigawa state Pilgrims Welfare Board said, so far it has remitted the sum of N858 million to National Hajj Commission of Nigeria as 2018 hajj seats fee allocated to the state.
The Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Sani Alhassan dropped the hint while speaking to news men yesterday in Dutse, the state capital.
According to him, out of 1,472 pilgrim’s seats allocated to the state by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), 727 Pilgrims had already completed their payment at the moment.
”We have already completed our preparation, we have remitted N858 million to the NAHCON, we have about 28 centres across the state, concluded vaccination, distribution of uniform and bags to our intending Pilgrims, but the training is on”, he explained.
He therefore advised those that have already completed their payment to prepare their minds on performing an acceptable hajj operation and desist from anything that can bring bad name to Nigeria and the host country, Saudi Arabia.
