2018 Hajj: Intending pilgrims must complete payment by 28th March, says Adamawa Muslims’ welfare board

The Adamawa state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the 28th of March 2018 as dateline for official collection of payments regarding this year’s Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Executive Secretary of the Board, ,Engineer Umar Abubakar Bobboi, made the announcement in Yola after a crucial meeting with stakeholders noting that, intending pilgrims from the state should try and complete outstanding payments.
He said: “I am urging intending pilgrims from this state to hasten in completing their outstanding payments to enable the board finish necessary arrangements for the pilgrimage exercise. As of this moment, the payments from intending pilgrims in the state is not encouraging because is just around 15% to 20% out of hundred percentage on aggregate. “
He said the payments on time would enable the board to provide conducive atmosphere for all the intending pilgrims observing that late payments always create delays in the operations annually.
On the seats allocated to the state for 2018 exercise by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON),Abuja, he responded that,2061 seats had been reserved for Adamawa intending pilgrims this year.
“This year,Adamawa secured 2061 seats for intending pilgrims which we are hoping they would finish their payments on time.”
Commenting on the level of preparation for the exercise, Chairman of the Board, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, while talking to journalists said the board is more committed than ever in ensuring hitch free Hajj exercise.
Bilal explained that, Governor Jibrila Bindow gave the board a matching order that, the accommodation of pilgrims from the state must be very close to Haram(Holy Mosque) in Mecca,Saudi Arabia.
