As the 2015 draws closer, the North Central Youth Movement for Good Governance (NCYMGG), has called on the Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, to contest the presidential primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015.
The National coordinator of the group, Nafiu Yau, who disclosed this at a press briefing yesterday in Jos, said that the call for Lamido to contest the PDP presidential primaries was prompted by the need to have visionary leadership in the country.
Yau said, “We unanimously adopted Governor Sule Lamido as our presidential candidate due to his efforts and contributions towards the transformation of Jigawa state.
“Lamido has all the requisite and potentials, looking at his track record in the political sphere of this country by serving in different capacities. He was in the forefront in the struggle for the entrenchment of democracy in Nigeria,” he added.
He further stressed that among his political colleagues within the PDP, Lamido remains unequalled even as he Nigerians to vote leaders like the Jigawa governor who is focused and patriotic to the country.
