2015: PDP assures of unity of all members before general elections

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has assured to integrate all its party members across the country as 2015 general elections draws nearer to ensure the party goes in to the election stronger and united for its victory at the polls.

Chairman of the North Central Zone Integration Committee of the party, Dr Haliru Bello Mohammed made the disclosure at the PDP secretariat in Minna yesterday, while the committee was interacting with party stakeholders in the state.

The former national PDP chairman said “I am here to integrate our party to make it stronger, more united as we approached 2015 general elections to ensure PDP goes in to the election as one united, stronger party because our mission is for a fact finding and identify the condition of our party in Niger state”.

Haliru assured to listen to all complaints, disagreements and grievances in order to effect genuine reconciliation so as to maintain 16 years relationship as one party as well as the only ruling party in the country.

It could be recalled that the 6 man integration committee of PDP was set up by the National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Adamu Muazu on 12th September,2014 to integrate all the aggrieved members of the party in order to speak with one voice at all levels.

The Niger state PDP Chairman, Alhaji Abdulrahman Mahmud Enagi appealed to the national body of the party to give adequate funding to states to ease its operations to avoid been hijacked by the opposition parties even as he urged for improvement in empowering the party members in times of appointment to relieve state governors from burdens.

Enagi stressed that the effective and efficient structure of the party PDP made it unique from other political parties in the country giving it more advantage over any other party in Nigeria.

In attendance were North Central zonal PDP chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Ayitogo who is also the committee’s secretary, national and state assembly members, party elders and chairmen among others.

Niger state House of representative member representing Magama/Rijau federal constituency, Atiku Shamaki officially decamped from the APC to the PDP at the event.
