Governor Bala James Ngillari, of Adamawa state has endorsed the candidature of Malam Nuhu Ribadu pledging his government’s support to it.
Gov Nggilari made the endorsement at the Government House, Yola yesterday, saying that he will rally round Ribadu’s candidature in order to ensure the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP come 2015 general elections and to ensure that the party remains in power.
Ngillari said he received the candidature of Ribadu as a divine
providence and in good faith adding that with a well entrenched person like him, it will not be difficult for the party to retain its seat come 2015 general election in the state.
“As a party member, one has to take anything that comes in good faith and therefore we are going to work together to ensure victory in the forthcoming election,” Nggillari said.
He expressed confidence that the stakeholders of the party will not afford the party to lose the Government House.
Speaking earlier, Ribadu promised to carry all aggrieved members of the party along for the success of the party in 2015.
“As for me, all PDP aspirants and other members of the party are equal. People know me as a hard working person and I will use my wealth of experience to transform the state if elected in 2015.
“I am therefore calling on the party members to forget the past for the success of the party,”
He commended the governor for his faith in the party, adding that as the leader of the party in the state he has confidence that Ngillari will lead the campaign train of the party to success.
