A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and House of Representatives aspirant for the Kebbe/Tambuwal federal constituency in Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Abubakar-Alhaji has said the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan would further strengthen the nation.
He also asserted that Nigerian stand the chance to enjoy more dividends of democracy if the electorate re-elect the incumbent President in forthcoming poll.
Speaking with journalists in Sokoto on his aspiration, the 45-year old son of Nigeria’s former Minister of Finance and former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, expressed optimism that the PDP will emerge victorious at all levels in 2015.
“Voting Jonathan under the platform of the PDP will bring more development to Nigeria and Nigerians generally.
“Nigeria is a very complex country to lead and Jonathan is trying his best, and he will do more when re-elected in 2015.”
Abubakar-Alhaji averred that Jonathan is capable of taking Nigeria to the Promised Land in 2015 and beyond.
The aspirant promised to give top priority to youth and women empowerment, as well as jobs creation when elected to represent the constituency.
Abubakar-Alhaji promised to establish Information Communication Technology (ICT) and vocational training centres, when elected.
“I will also use my position if elected to attract more federal presence by way of developmental projects to the state and the constituency in particular,” he pledged.
