2015: Islamic cleric cautions Jonathan against desperate politicians

From Ahmed Kaigama, Bauchi

A renown Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to take adequate measures that will curtail the activities of desperate politicians who want to win 2015 general election at all cost if he wants the country to live in peace with one another.

Bauchi gave the warning in a special audio message emailed to newsmen from Saudi Arabia. He said desperate politicians who are dangerous and responsible for threat to peace in the country are found among Muslims and Christians.

The cleric  alleged that they were the ones throwing bombs and killing muslims in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa , Taraba and other places in order to weaken Muslims and get easy ride to leadership positions.

He said desperate politicians disregard the Qur’anic injunction that said your religion is your own, they also have no regard for freedom of religion in the constitution.

He said he has no personal enemy and all followers of Tijjaniyya have no personal enemy; they have no differences with Izala up to the level of throwing bomb alleging that desperate politicians are responsible for that.

According to him, President Jonathan as a Christians might know those desperate Christian politicians while Muslims know the desperate ones.

“Jonathan should watch them, halt their activities if he wants Nigeria to live in peace and harmony, and both of them we will seek for God intervention over their evil intention so that country will live in peace”

The Cleric commended the cordial relationship existing between christian like General Gowon, Barrister Solomon Dalung, Reverend Yohanna and their followers with Muslims and prayed for peace and stability in the country.
