2015: Group campaigns for Jonathan/Sambo continuity

A political association, Goodluck Jonathan Global Support, has called on Nigerians to come together and support the continuity of President Goodluck Jonathan and Namadi Sambo administration beyond 2015.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the President of the association, Akinsola Kehinde, said this has become necessary to sustain the transformation programmes which are already being executed by the administration.

He said the transformation programmes being initiated by President Jonathan would usher in a positive future for Nigerians, adding that Nigerians in Diaspora are always worried of returning home to meet a degraded and impoverished country.

Akinsola also regretted that in most advanced countries, the natural resources and wealth available cannot measure up to what exist in Nigeria, pointing out that the present administration has shown courage and commitment to transform the system.

“Our outcry is for nothing else but sustainable development; a development that is all encompassing and not marginalized by a few powerful cabal, where the ordinary man or woman can have equal opportunity to express their God given potentials”, according to him.

Akinsola also commended President Jonathan’s administration for allowing Nigerians to criticize his administration without intimidation or condemnation, saying this has clearly indicated that the country’s democracy has advanced.

While noting that the power sector has received a facelift in the present government, he expressed confidence that with the progress recorded in the power sector, youths would soon be engaged by the numerous industries and agricultural policies being initiated by President Jonathan.

On this note, the Akinsola promised that the Goodluck Global Support Group will mobilize millions of Nigerians to lend their support to continuity, progress and sustainable development of Nigeria through President Jonathan and Vice President Sambo return bid.
