The Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has described, the former Gombe State Governor , Sen. Danjuma Goje, as a shameless politician who” practices dirty and rowdy politics that is mainly for surreptitious objectives”.
This counter-criticism is coming just barely one week after the call made by Sen. Goje to Lamido, to stop castigating the presidential candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), If he (Lamido ) would not support Buhari’s presidential ambition.
Lamido who reacted yesterday on a morning programme of Radio France International (FIR), monitored in Jos, also accused Goje of initiating and sponsoring a violent group known as Kalare to achieve his political goal, adding that the group was alleged to have killed many people in the state during his administration.
He added that Goje was the one who singularly brought Dankwambo to power in the 2011 but because his personal objectives were not achieved, he then turned upon Dankwambo by saying all sort of things to destroy his image, describing the situation as a shameful.
“Goje’s politics is too dirty and rowdy. He engages in politics because of money. I heard him saying all sort of things on the radio last week that he was surprised at my comment on Buhari. If Goge is saying this, he should have thought of the atrocities he committed when he was the governor of Gombe State. He was part of Buhari’s loss in the 2011 polls.
“Come to think of it, Goje was the one who initiated and sponsored Kalare group in the state for his own political gain. This group was known to be violent, killing people in the state. Come to think of it again, the same Goje was the one who brought the present governor of Gombe State and because of selfish interest, Goje is criticising him (Dankwambo) .
Lamido however accused Goje and other PDP members who defected to the APC of purposely relating and attaching themselves to Buhari so as to seem to be clean in the eyes of Nigerians from their past atrocities committed when they were in their respective offices, noting that the like of himself, Goje, Wammako and others were the cause of Buhari’s loss in the last general election.
