Gov-Al-makuraThe Fulani in Nasarawa have endorsed Governor Al makura for 2015 governorship election in the state.

Their spokesman, who is also the National President of Miyetti Allah Cattle-rearers Association, Alh. Bello Badejo,on behalf of his people in Nasarawa state, described Al makura as the governor of the masses as well as one who respects humanity.

He stated therefore, that “We have dissociated ourselves from those groups who claimed to be representatives of the Fulani, who recently endorsed Goodluck Jonathan and Maku for 2015” as according to him those are the fake Fulanis who came out for monetary benefits.

“But for us we are the genius Fulani and today we are affirming to you as well as endorsing you for 2015 as our governor and will remain behind APC from the local, state and the federal level in 2015 generalelections “.

He made the assertion when they paid a courtesy call on the governor to “extend our profound gratitude over your victory on the recent impeachment plan against you as well as tell you that we are solidly behind you in 2015” Responding, Governor Umar Tanko Al makura called on the Fulani communities resident in Nasarawa to live in peace and harmony with others, especially farmers in the state in order to pave way for rapid development.

Addressing hundreds of Fulani communities who converged at the city hall to felicitate with him over that plight, told them that the APC government in Nasarawa state recognises every individual, the Fulani’s inclusive, and commended them for their kind gestures extended to him over the plot.

His words: “The plan by some elements was tactically aimed at destabilising the good vision, plan and programmes being executed by the present APC administration in the state”.

He further described the Fulani communities in Nasarawa state as real Fulanis, as according to him anyone dealing with them is equally dealing with good people. He therefore promised to include them in his programmes.

The governor assured them that a peace committee would be set up to enhance peaceful co-existence amongst the people irrespective of tribe or religion.

He, however, announced appointment of Alh. Jafaru Liman as the Special Assistant to the governor on cattle-grazing and Haj. Kande as Personal assistant to the governor on Fulani women.
