The National Auditor of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,Alhaji Adewole Adeyanju, yesterday said the victory of the party’s candidate, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, at the Ekiti governorship poll at the weekend should serve as a red signal to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) on what to expect by the 2015 general elections in the south west country.

Speaking with news men in Abuja on the outcome of the poll and its  gallant acceptance by all the contestants especially the incumbent governor,Dr Kayode Fayemi of the APC, Adeyanju declared ,” with the  Ekiti State governorship election result won by the PDP, the people have  spoken through  ballot box and it is a red signal to the APC that the game is up for them”.

According to him,”the race to 2015 has just begun with our victory in Ekiti; the victory train is now moving to Osun State and come August 9 fixed for the State’s governorship  election, our victory is certain because our people have rejected the APC totally. We are on the field campaigning for our party. The people of the South-West have tasted both the APC and PDP and by now they know the best”.

“PDP is a tested reliable and  trusted political party. You can see the real transformation and developments going on at the PDP controlled states and at the federal level. We want our people in the South-West too to be partaker in reaping the dividends of democracy in the Country. PDP is the only one that is not being controlled or centred on any individual or group as being done in the APC”,he pointed out.

He commended the people of Ekiiti for voting  massively  for the PDP in the election and assured that the situation in the state would soon turn around as soon as the Governor elect assumes office.”We are happy that Ekiti people know their  governor elect as an action man; he will never let them down; all he needs is their total support which I know they will give him”.

Adeyanju also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC and the nation’s security forces for the smooth conduct of the Ekiti State governorship election which could be adjudged the best election ever conducted in the Country as all the contestants accepted its out come without any protest.
