2015: Bauchi pro-Atiku group urges him to contest

A group loyal to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in Bauchi yesterday urged him to declare his ambition to contest the Presidency by 2015.

This is just as the group chaired by Alhaji Murtala Ibrahim Dan-Malikin Moto added that it would soon commence mobilization and campaigns for the former Vice President.

Dan-Maliki said Atiku remains the only person who could rescue Nigerians from the present political and economic impoverishment following his cognate experience and prudence in financial management.

According to him, the organisation have already put a high powered machinery to canvasses support for Atiku presidential ambition saying various groups have also indicated interest to join forces with the organisation.

“In my personal opinion, Atiku’s disposition as a philanthropist seems to have attracted to him supporters in the country being a man of the people in all ramifications” Dan-Maliki said.

He stress that the organization have made a lot of contacts which cut-across the geo-political zones of the country especially to seek stakeholders support in favour of the former vice president.

Dan-Maliki lamented the alarming indices of poverty among the youths and women explaining that when Nigerians decide to vote the former vice president, the situation will be a thing of the past.

The chairman had blamed the PDP government for masterminding the impeachment of the Adamawa state governor, Murtala Nyako saying it will not however affect the presidential candidature of Atiku.

He noted that the desperate moves to suffocate the APC platform in the country is a war to Al, Nigerians just as he described the war as a calculated attempt to scuttle democracy.

The organization advised President Goodluck Jonathan to address the current security challenges in the country instead of hunting innocent APC families with a view to settle perceived political scores.

“We are out to effect the necessary changes come 2015 for the yearning and aspiration of Nigerian devoid of any political difference looking at the poverty and unemployment rate in the country” Dan-maliki concluded.
