From Uche Uche, Damaturu
The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Alhaji Maimala Buni, has assured that the party would ensure internal democracy and provide member with equal opportunities ahead of 2015 general election.
The party scribe who disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Damaturu recently explained that APC has wide latitude to accommodate and give every party member the opportunity to realize his or her potentials and contribute to nation building.
“The APC is a Nigerian project in which national interest supersedes personal or sectional interests and will provide level playing ground for all members and this will make the APC different from others,” he said.
He stressed that the party’s priority areas include establishing lasting peace and security, qualitative education, affordable healthcare delivery, infrastructural development, job creation and, ending incessant strikes in the education and health sectors among others.
Others he said include establishing efficient service delivery, accountability and transparency in governance and the enthronement of true democracy where the voice of the people is not only heard, but also respected.
He noted that APC will concentrate on improving the energy sector to create employment opportunities to Nigerians.
“Energy is a major factor to infrastructural development and employment opportunities but unfortunately, Nigeria has not achieved much in the energy sector to help fight unemployment,” he lamented.
