Despite the fact that President Goodluck Jonathan has not indicated his interest to run for next year presidential race, the original inhabitants of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under the aegis of Abuja Original Inhabitants Coalition Groups have commenced intensive campaign for the president
Specifically, as a prelude to the planned cultural carnival for President Jonathan’s re-election bid, the umbrella body of all the social cultural groups in the FCT have signaled the campaign by erecting bill boards in all the strategic locations in the territory.
The Groups had last week erected over six bill boards in support of President Jonathan and FCT minister, Senator Bala Mohammed, in some strategic locations across the territory.
The Coordinating Chairman of the group, Engr. Bussa Danjuma, told our correspondent in an interview that the erection of bill boards in some strategic locations in the territory was to consolidate the position of the group to support President Jonathan’s presidential bid in various ways.
When asked if President Jonathan will run for the 2015 Presidential elections, the Coordinating Chairman said that based on the wide support from various geo political zones, the president will be compelled to join the race for a second term.
