From Muhammad Ibrahim, Kaduna.
Kaduna State Government has pledged to release a white paper very soon on the post presidential election crisis of 2011 in the state.
The deputy governor of the state, Ambassador Nuhu Audu Bajoga, made the disclosure yesterday in a press statement signed by his Press Secretary, James Swam, at the nineteen synod of the Kaduna Doicese of the Anglican Communion, held at Jacaranda Retreat, Kaduna.
According to him, the state government was working in earnest on the recommendations of the Peace and Reconciliation Committee set up by the previous administration as a result of the 2011 crisis.
“Very soon government will release a white paper but before a white paper is issued, the State executive council has to approve and pass a decision after which government can begin to implement the suggestions of the committee.
“There are many suggestions in the report of the committee but very soon government will take decision that will ensure peace and reconciliation in the state,” he said.
The deputy governor urged citizens of the state to remain calm and live peacefully with one another, noting that the state government will do everything within its powers to provide security for the entire state.
