Following the recent stampede in Saudi Arabia which killed about hundreds of people including Nigerians, the National chairman Ulama’u  Council of Jama’atul Izalatil Bidia Wa Ikamatu Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheik Sani Yahaya Jingir has called on Buhari to investigate the cause of the incident .

The cleric made the call shortly after his arrival from the Holy land, in a chat with journalists in Jos yesterday.

Jingir who described the incident as pathetic and mournful also said the entire Muslims across the country must have felt the pain of those who had lost their lives during the incident.

While mourning the victims of the incident, Jingir further called on Government at the center to collaborate with Saudi Arabia to investigate the cause of the tragic incident and take appropriate step to prevent future occurrence.

The cleric however commended this year’s Amirul hajj and Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sunusi II, for his commitment during the incidents at the Makka crane disaster and the stampede

“The Emir has demonstrated good leadership to the Nigerian contingent by standing firm during and after the tragic events, “ he said.
